Committed literature is the opposite of useless literature

In a conversation with IRNA

Committed literature is the opposite of useless literature

Parsa Nazari said in an interview with IRNA's book and literature reporter: One of the programs of Committed Literature magazine is to help young writers and poets to take the right literary path with the aim of social influence.

He announced the preparation of this magazine with committed and concerned writers and added: Of course, we do not establish educational centers, but we strengthen these cultural and literary centers. Currently, if the trustees of any reputable cultural-literary institution refer to us to publish their literary works, they will not return empty-handed. The important issue is to strengthen the study by expanding the reading culture and not being indifferent.

Nazari continued: With the approach of not having any advertising activities and maintaining its independence without affiliation to any government or non-government party or organization, the committed literature magazine is a worthy base for writers, poets, critics, artists and those concerned about the country's culture and literature.

The responsible director of the magazine "Committed Literature" emphasized: "Our current priority is to strengthen and expand the reading culture and national reconciliation with reading. Of course, we must accept that with the passage of time, reading can take more diverse forms, but reading is important." In order to achieve this goal, the committed literature magazine has left the economic approach and goals out of its plans, and all the services of this publication are free.

Nazari, referring to a quote by the popular poet Ahmed Shamlou, who said: "The virtue of an artist is to seek treatment in this sick world, not to relieve, to seek to understand, not to decorate", said about the philosophy of commitment in literature: "Our concern is participation in reading books." But librarianship is not a luxury, we must prevent the neutralization of the country's literary and artistic society, as well as the emptiness of the works.
